Creative Hands are a group of artists who held their first exhibition at Project Contemporary Artspace in April 2009. Over twenty people produced individual works that reflected their unique experience of community and what was important to them.

One year on, Creative Hands has doubled in size and these artists are continuously developing their artistic styles and are working stronger than ever. This exhibition is to celebrate their creative voice in conjunction with the UN’s International Day for People with a Disability.

Each artwork is produced as a group with an emphasis on working together. A series of canvases have been produced with an art facilitator, which reflects this experiment in colour, form, texture, personal interaction and communication through visual imagery.
