Project's focus is on providing opportunities and events for emerging, innovative and experimental artists in a variety of mediums, encouraging collaboration between artistic disciplines.

Project aims to be an accessible exhibition space with a focus on professional arts practice. The gallery exists so that artists are supported in gaining exposure and valuable professional experience.

It is close to a wide range of amenities including cafes, restaurants, shops, parking and public transport. Wollongong City Railway Station and the central bus station are a short walk from the gallery.

Gallery hours

The gallery is manned by artists and volunteers and is open at the following times:

Wednesday to Saturday, 11am - 5pm
Sunday, 11am - 4pm

Exhibiting & Facilities

Project Galllery is a large open, industrial space that has been refurbished to include state of the art gallery fittings, which reflects the professional approach of the gallery and its members.

Wire hanging system and track lighting all aid exhibitors in the presentation of their works.

The moveable walls for customised space division encourage sharing of the space, provide a flexible exhibition layout and accommodate screen-based or installation work.

The high ceilings allow for large sculptural works, supported by the roller door access at the front of the gallery.

Management

Project is managed by Committee which meets each 2nd Wednesday 6pm at the Gallery. All members are invited to attend and become involved at committee meetings.
